I live in New Jersey and Connecticut, in the U.S. I enjoy riding my bicycle, cooking, doing family research and writing short stories. I have a nice life and hope to make life for many Eastern Europeans nice like myself.
I am the grandson of a Holocaust survivor (this is my father's father). Although he passed away several years ago, his memory lives on.
I was born in The Hague in Holland (The Netherlands) and it is there that I first learned about my religion (Judaism). At age 7 I moved to Singapore which is in South-East Asia. I moved to New Jersey when I was 11. I went to a Boarding School the Fall of 2003 and while I was there I found a way to remember and honor my Grandfather. I started to develop an interest in Elie Wiesel, who is one of my role models.
At one point I wanted to be in charge of a project that would allow Jews from places such as the US to move to Sighetul-Marmatiei in northern Transylvania. I wanted to do this in Honor of Dr. Elie Wiesel himself. As I realized early on, that would have failed because reviving Jewish life in that remote location would not be practical. Its past residents will continue to live there only in spirit.
One day I thought of S.E.E.S.C and the idea of a foundation meant to Save Eastern European Synagogues and Cemeteries.
